The purpose of my work is to get childbearing back where it belongs; into the hands of parents and families. It is possible; you can and should enjoy your experience.
My love for all things birth began the first time I was present for the birth of a friend's baby. After attending a few more births, and having two of my own children, I was hooked. I think back to births of my children on a daily basis with joy. While no two people will share the same birth story, I believe every person should feel joy and satisfaction about their child's birth.
I live in Lynnwood with my husband, Dan, and our two beautiful daughters. When I'm not teaching yoga or birth education, I am with my family. We love going on adventures, working outside in the yard, and spending time with friends.
Professionally, I am a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE), a birth doula with current PALS membership (certification in progress), an APPA trained placenta encapsulation specialist (certification in progress), and a yoga instructor with over 200 hours of training.
I believe birth is transformative.
I believe every family is unique, and therefore, should have unique care and a unique experience.
I believe every person has the right to informed decision making and a happy healthy birth.
I believe that with the right set of tools every person can have an amazing birth experience.
