Hi, I began my journey as a birth doula 5 years ago and hold a certification through DONA, Int. I have attended around 50+ women in labor, supporting 1st time mothers, mothers of many to trials of labor after several C-sections. Through CAPPA, I trained in teaching Childbirth Education. My curriculum incorporates an array of tools for labor including some Lamaze, Bradley, and relaxation techniques and postpartum care for mom and baby. I have also served several families as postpartum doula. As a postpartum doula, my experience in meal preparation, professional home cleaning and organization are utilized in caring for mothers, newborns, and the family through the transition after birth. I have over 500 hours serving postpartum families.
In the Listening to Mothers Survey, many mother express wishing they had been better supported, heard, and valued. They wished they had been better able to rest after the birth of each baby. Taking care of children starts with taking care of our mothers. This is what I hope to provide.
