Bio:

I provide both birth and postpartum doula care, childbirth education, full spectrum support and placenta encapsulation services throughout the greater Seattle & surrounding areas. I approach birth work from an inclusive view point and am incredibly passionate about supporting all pregnancy experiences and family structures. My goal is to help you have a positive, supported experience.

I understand that your journey through pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum can feel like trying to navigate the unknown. I will help you understand your choices to make the best decision for you and your family. I created Exhale: Body & Birth to help you feel supported every step of the way. My passion is providing unbiased, nonjudgmental individualized care for families based on their unique preferences. I trust that you know what you need; I’m here to support you with massage, acupressure and comforting, grounding encouragement during labor and childbirth and help you transition to parenthood.

I am a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula with a strong commitment to health activism and reproductive justice. I spent almost 10 years working in Restaurant Management & Holistic Nutrition when I reached a point of wanting deeper human connections and a more passion driven field. After experiencing the magic of childbirth myself, something clicked and I knew that Birthwork was where I was meant to be. Alongside Exhale: Body & Birth, I provide doula services to low-income and under-served communities within the non-profit organization Open Arms Perinatal Services. In addition, I’m also a Core Organizer with Full Spectrum Doula Collective helping folks across the pregnancy spectrum. I am called to birth work to exercise my feminism* by helping individuals find and use their voice, especially those who feel as though they don’t have one.

Previously, I have interned at MAIA Midwifery with Kristin Kali as well as class assisted for Penny Simkin's Homebirth Childbirth Series.

Screen Shot 2017-05-24 at 8.44.46 AMWhen I’m not at a birth, I like to unwind by meditating, curling up with a book, kayaking & paddle boarding on Alki or decompressing in nature. In addition to being a Doula, I’m also a Student Midwife with MCU and a trained Birth Assistant.

My wife and I are “Autism Moms” of our very energetic non-verbal daughter who was recently diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the Spring of 2017. We’re always working to crush the stigma that comes with ASD and we’re very active in our local Autism Community. You can usually find the three of us camping, hiking or out on the water enjoying the Pacific Northwest.

I live in the Capitol Hill neighborhood with my wife, our four year old daughter and two short-hair pointers named Eleanor & Amos.

*My feminism is always trans, non-binary and POC inclusive.
