I have a strong desire to meet families at their level to help them achieve goals they set as they feel empowered and educated to do so for themselves. Following the birth of my first child I began to seek out ways to answer that call even more directly and began preparing to become a Birth Doula attending my first birth in the fall of 2008.
I received my formal doula training the “JJ Way” at Commonsense Childbirth School of Midwifery and I continually attend training and informative sessions to ensure I am on top of the latest evidence based care.
As an experienced Midwives’ Assistant I have trained and certified in Neonatal Resuscitation and other emergency health and safety procedures. I have worked with families with special situations as well as low risk pregnancies in both hospital and home births.
I feel truly called to my vocation, and seek to serve all families at achieving A Better Genesis.
