I first became a Childbirth Educator after having my first daughter in 2008. At the time, I was a biologist, researching information, and naturally gravitated toward information searching when I was pregnant. Once she was born, however, I realized I had 2 options; forget what I found and go back to biology, or share with other expectant families. Ever since then I've been looking for ways to further support families, which had led me to become a Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, Lactation Educator, and now a student midwife!
I hold many active roles in my community, supporting families and birth professionals alike. I moderate one of the Bay Area's largest Doula Groups, currently sit as the Vice Present of BirthWays in Berkeley, and am one of the co-founders and facilitators of the Bay Area Breastfeeding Support Group. I am also on CAPPA's Faculty as a Childbirth Educator Trainer.
My goal is helping people succeed and having a positive experience while doing so!
